Page 1: As many of you know, Chatham is leading the state in voter turnout percentage to date! You can track voter turnout statistics (by total numbers of voters rather than percentages) across the state and within Chatham using the Vote Tracker tool developed by Civitas/The John Locke Foundation. The data are from the North Carolina State Board of Elections and are updated daily. . 

 

Page 2: Upcoming CCDP-Sponsored Events and Volunteer Opportunities. The big addition this week is that signups are now open for poll greeters at our 16 Election Day voting locations across Chatham. Please help get the word out so that we are fully staffed on Election Day. And don't forget to sign up for our Election Night Watch Party on November 5 at The Plant in Pittsboro!

On Tuesday, we'll be kicking off our first weekday canvass from the CEC in Pittsboro at 5 p.m., then House Democratic Leader Robert Reives will join us at the CEC at 6:45 to enjoy pizza and share stories. Come join us for this special canvass! In addition, we still have openings for poll greeters at our six Early Voting sites, so please sign up!

This week's highlights include a candidate meet and greet event with NC Supreme Court Justice Allison Riggs and NC House Democratic Leader Robert Reives on October 9,  a "Holla' for Kamala event to socialize with 2024 candidates (without speeches) at the Community Engagement Center in Pittsboro on October 12, and the Goldston Old Fashion Day event on October 12. You'll also find information about upcoming canvassing activities and how to sign up to be a poll greeter during Early Voting, which begins on October 17. There's also info about joining our Phone Banking and Texting Teams, and how to become an Election Influencer. Finally, office volunteers are needed to staff our new Siler City office, which is now OPEN!
